There's A New World Coming

Do you find some things about "the end" to be a tad bit unbelievable?

You're not alone.

I mean c'mon, dead bodies rising out of the ground? Sounds like the Zombie Apocalypse. Preachers call it, "The Rapture of the Church."

Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven.

It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.

So what's coming? A new world.

God is preparing to return the inheritance to his children.

In a little while, God is going to remove the unrighteous from the earth...just as it was in the days of Noah; and usher in a thousand years of peace; where every knee will bow and tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord.

Only a remnant will remain on earth to rule and reign with Christ.

Spirit-filled people who are prepared, as was Noah, to rebuild and replenish the earth. Everyone else will simply die in the tribulation and sleep for a thousand years until judgement.

Heaven is not what you think it is; so don't be in a hurry to go to heaven. It was never God's plan for his children to live, die and go to heaven. It was to live and enjoy his creation, the earth...forever.

Get ready, his promise is about to be fulfilled.

Do Not Be Deceived: Everything will appear normal and natural; just as it was in the days of Noah; "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

However, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Be Careful Whom You Choose To Follow

A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.

There's a big difference between twenty years experience and one years experience twenty times.

Is the preacher growing Spiritually or is s/he still teaching the same politically-correct pablum you hear from every other preacher?

Remember, just because everyone believes something is true, doesn't make it truth.

Growth (even Spiritual growth) is an on-going process.

A lot of preachers are not growing Spiritually because they have not been Spiritually reborn. All they know (and teach) is what they learned in Seminary; but what if they're wrong?

Without the Spirit of Truth, there's no way for them (or you) to know the truth.

Have you ever heard a preacher say "Abortion is wrong, except in the case of rape, incest or when the life of the mother is in jeopardy? Show me where it says "except" in scripture.

God's word is clear...abortion is wrong. There are no exceptions.

Great men, even well-known and well-respected men, are not always wise; so be careful whom you choose to follow, as it is written: "Can the blind lead the blind? Shall they not both fall into the ditch? (Luke 6:39 )

Can you think of a better way to deceive, than from the pulpit?

Here is Wisdom: "Stop listening to the words of man and start listening to the Word of God"

Read your Bible...Study to show yourself approved.

Because, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

A Part or Apart?

Is God a part of, or apart from, your daily life?

This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.

Okay, it's not really beyond me.

The reason people don't allow God into their daily lives is because they simply don't believe God is real.

Yeah, it's that simple.

It's somewhat understandable. The only way to know God is real, is to be reborn Spiritually...and the majority of people sitting in the pews have not been "born again."

People who are born again, respect, reverence and yes, even fear the one who has the power to destroy both body and soul. They hate evil and have a hunger and thirst for God and his word. Pleasing God is the priority of their life and they are not fooled by preachers who have no idea what it means to be "born again."

If you don't know, I mean really KNOW, God is real...repent of your sins and pray as I prayed over thirty years ago, "God, if you're real, I want to know."

If you're sincere, God will reveal himself in his way, in his time, according to his purpose; and you will no longer hope, assume or even "believe" God is real, you will know it.

Because, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

The $64,000 Question

Today, with game shows giving away a million dollars, $64,000 doesn't seem like much; but in 1955 when the show first aired, it was a bunch of money (about $600k today).

The term,"$64,000 Question," became synonymous with a hard question to answer.

The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven."

Sounds great, but is it true?

What did Jesus say? "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)

If you don't keep the commandments, you don't really love Jesus; and, if you don't love Jesus, why would God let you "abide" in his tabernacle?

Lets make one thing perfectly clear...irrespective of what you hear from the pulpit, life and blessing do not come from belief in Jesus; they are the result of obedience to God. (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Do you really think God will reward liars, cheats and thieves with eternal life? Do you really think he wants disobedient people ruling his kingdom? Do you really think you can live a sinful lifestyle and hear, "Well done good and faithful servant."

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom. As Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

It's really not that difficult to understand.

When you're truly "born again," you will not sin willfully; and pleasing God thru obedience, will become the priority of your life.

Of course, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Are These Scales Right?

I lost a half pound this weekend.

Ordinarily I would be okay with losing a half pound; I mean one to two pounds is a reasonable dietary loss for a week, so a half pound for three days is about right; but this was no ordinary diet and the expectations were high.

I lost 8 pounds the first week; so why, following the same dietary regimen, did I only lose a half pound? I should have lost four pounds. It was so discouraging.

We often "joked" about all the new people at the gym this time of year and how, like seeds sown on rocky soil, they would be "gone" in a month or two. Now I was faced with the same dilemma; the first week I lost four pounds in three days...this week, a half pound. Was it worth the sacrifice? Should I give up?

It's easy to get discouraged when things don't go as expected...to look at the sacrifice and say, "Is it worth it?"

Fortunately, Jesus didn't feel the same way.

Then I realized, giving up things that are not good for you is not really a sacrifice. I had resolved to eat better. I know the closer you eat to the way God intended, the better it is for the body God created.

This was not some new fad diet, it was a lifestyle change.

Change is not easy, but God never said it would be easy; just that it would be worth it.

Giving up bad things for good things is not a sacrifice...it's wisdom.

Why the sudden change to eat better?

I believe God is preparing to return the earth to his children, so there won't be a lot of Twinkies and Ding Dongs available. Switching to a plant-based diet and learning how to grow your own food makes a lot of sense.

I've wanted to plant a garden for a few years...I think God is telling me it's time to do it.

You see, when you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Will You Die For Him?

I don't know how many remember the 1988 Apocalyptic Classic "The Seventh Sign" with Demi Moore and Michael Biehn, but I loved that movie.

It's loosely based on the opening of the Seven Seals, but it's pure fiction. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but the central theme was "Will you die for him?"

This scripture, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." is really the crux of the whole Bible.

Are you planning to marry? Ask yourself, "Would I die for him or her?" If you can't answer, "Yes," maybe you should reconsider your position. Are you unhappily married? Maybe the answer to the that question, is the reason you're unhappy.

This is not Marriage Counseling 101; simply to point out that "self-sacrifice;" dying to self and putting others first, was the central theme of Jesus' message and the true test of any serious relationship...including your relationship with God.

To die for someone else is the ultimate sacrifice. Why would anyone do that?

The only reason anyone would willingly die for someone else, is knowing there is life after death. I don't mean wishing and hoping, I mean KNOWING, without a doubt, that God and his promises are real.

It's why the final victory, is over death.

The reason health care is so important today is because people are simply afraid to die. They're afraid because they don't really know if there is anything after death, so this life is all that matters.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

A New Heaven And A New Earth

From beginning to end, the Bible is one long journey...from the creation of the world in Genesis to the recreation in The Book of the Revelation.

God has methodically taken us on a journey...teaching us how to live a happy, healthy, wealthy life on earth through the trials, tribulations and physical and Spiritual exploits of our forefathers.

Do Not Be Deceived: Throughout scripture, there is no reference to "heaven" as our final resting place. "Heaven" is a fantasy created by the "church" to convert people to Christianity.

It was never God's plan for us to live, die and go to "heaven."

Forget the fables and endless genealogies; If you look at the Bible as a whole, the picture is clear. Life and blessing, now and forever, are the result of obedience to God and his ways. Disobedience brings death and cursing.

It is the same lesson repeated throughout both the Old and New Testaments.

While preachers hold out the afterlife "carrot" to induce people to convert (hoping they will join their congregation, buy their books and tapes or at least send them money), God's focus is on life now.

New life is not some future event requiring your death. "The kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21)

When you are reborn Spiritually, all things become new and your life will change.

Your life changes because your thinking changes. You will have an insatiable hunger and thirst for God and his word and an innate desire to please God. You will know, without a doubt, God is real; but that's just the beginning of the good news.

In a little while, God is going to return the inheritance (the earth) to his children. He is going to remove the wicked, evil and unrepentant (just as it was in the days of Noah), return the earth to its former glory, and usher in a thousand years of peace on earth for all those who have been reborn Spiritually.

Here is Wisdom: There's a new world coming; a world where every knee will bow and tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord. Sound like heaven? It's the kingdom of heaven, on earth...and it's coming soon.

Of course, unless you're reborn Spiritually you cannot see or enter the kingdom...so, nothing else matters.

What Child Is This?

A lot of people have trouble with the "Christmas" story.

An unmarried pregnant teenage girl blaming her pregnancy on God. C'mon, who's gonna believe it?

That's the point, it was not meant for everyone to believe the Bible. The Bible is God's instruction manual for his children and believe it or not, we are not all God's children.

God did not come to earth in human form as is commonly taught. The baby Jesus is not God...he's a baby. A special baby, yes. God? No. He is a human, chosen by God to be the Messiah.

We should all be very thankful he took his "calling" seriously. Without his sacrifice, we would all be condemned.

Jesus was fully human, subject to the same trials and tribulations as the rest of us; he won't become the firstborn "Son of God" until the Spirit descends on him (Luke 3:22). Which is why very little is known of his childhood.

Jesus never claimed to be God and always referred to God as his Father. It doesn't make him any less worthy of praise, just not as God.

The "Trinity" can be confusing. How can God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit all be God? How can God speak from heaven, while God (Jesus) is on earth. And, if the Holy Spirit is God, why did God (the Spirit) light on God (Jesus) in the form of a dove?

Preachers love to quote Isaiah to prove their postion, "And his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6) but that's what he will be called, not who he is.

At the risk of oversimplification think of it this way: God is Spirit, a "single cell." A cell is able to divide itself thru a process called "Binary Fission." Since God created "Binary Fission," it's not difficult to comprehend that God can "divide" himself and send a piece of his DNA (the Holy Spirit) into the hearts and minds of his children.

Thus, Jesus was the first-born of many (Romans 8:29) and like every child of God after him, has God's "DNA" (the Holy Spirit). Which is why Jesus said, "I and my Father are one." (John 10:29)

At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Christ, our Lord and Savior; who showed us that the only way to God is through Spiritual birth.

It's not believing in Jesus or the trinity (God in three persons) that separates God's children from the rest of the world, it's the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that testifies to God's existence, and confirms that we are a child of God. Without the Spirit of God, we are not God's children.

The birth of Jesus, serves as a reminder that to see or enter the kingdom, we must be born again.

Until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Come Quickly Lord Jesus

Most people praying for Christ's return are looking forward to spending eternity in heaven visiting loved ones...I'm not one of those people, for a couple of reasons.

First, "Heaven" is not sitting on a cloud with a harp, partying with friends or living in a mansion. "Heaven" is not like the movies; "mansion" (mone ) is only mentioned once. It means "a staying," not a 20,000 sq ft estate in Beverly Hills.

The only thing supported by scripture is that we will enter into God's rest and "sleep" until judgement.

Do Not Be Deceived: "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement;" (Hebrews 9:27) Scripture says nothing about partying with loved ones.

However, "sleep" is a good thing, (for reasons we don't have space to explain here) just not how preachers or the movies depict "heaven."

Of course, their job is to fill the pews and theater seats...and "sleep" doesn't make for a good movie or sermon topic.

Next, Jesus is not coming on a white horse to take all the "good" people to heaven. It was the unrighteous taken in the flood, not the righteous. Noah stayed to begin again.

What does the Bible say about the end of the age? "Just as it was in the days of Noe?" Unless you're prepared physically, as was Noah, you will simply die in the tribulation.

Life, as you know it, will just be over. A new life in "heaven?" Not likely. It was never God's plan for us to live, die and go to heaven. His plan was for us to enjoy his creation for eternity. His plan hasn't changed, just delayed.

For those who endure the tribulation, there's a new world coming...a thousand years of peace on earth.

God has always provided a "goat," a sacrificial replacement, (hence the word "scapegoat") to fulfill his purpose (Proverbs 21:18). In a little while, when God rains fire on the earth at the end of the age...the "goats" (the wicked, evil and unrepentant) will be gone, as a ransom for the righteous who will remain..."Just as it was in the days of Noe."

Oh glorious day! Come quickly Lord Jesus.

Happiness Is

Perhaps you heard about the kitten who spent all his time chasing his tail. When asked why he was chasing his tail, he said he was told happiness was in his tail. The wise old Tom cat told him happiness was indeed in his tail, but if he would stop chasing it, it would follow him wherever he went. That's wisdom.

What is wisdom?

Wisdom comes from knowledge; knowledge comes from experience; which is why it's said that "Experience is the best teacher." I would agree, but it doesn't have to be your experience. If you will listen to wisdom (the experience of others) you won't have to get burned to find out the stove is hot.

Like most people, I used to think happiness was a big house, fancy car and a healthy bank account...until I heard someone say "they'd never seen a u-haul following a hearse"

I had all those things...and that's all they are, things. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Now, I have less, but I really have more.

I put it all in a book titled, "12 Keys To A Happy, Healthy, Wealthy Life." It's available on Amazon.

Sorry for the shameless plug, but so many people choose to live miserable lives. Yes, I said "Choose."

God gave you an option, life and blessing or death and cursing. He hopes you choose life, but you have the freewill to ignore God and live your life any way you want...just be aware, there are consequences to living a sinful life.

When Solomon said, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting, get understanding," (Proverbs 4:7) he was referring to understanding as defined in Proverbs 9:10 as "the knowledge of the holy."

Why?

God is Spirit and the things of God are Spiritually discerned. It's why Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

Without the Holy Spirit, you won't understand the things of God. You cannot see or enter the kingdom, nor will you have the "knowledge of the holy."

You see, until you're born again, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Angels? Real Or Imagined?

Millions, perhaps Billions, of people believe Angels are real...but act like they aren't.

Of course, the same could be said about God. People say they believe, but you couldn't prove it by the sinful lifestyles they're living.

I don't think I've ever seen an Angel, but then I've never seen the "wind" either. However, I've had too many close "calls," not to believe in a "Guardian Angel."

When I was a kid, I was hit by a car...twice. I survived Vietnam...a lot of guys didn't.

I fell about twenty feet off a wall onto a concrete sidewalk...broke my collar bone, fractured a few ribs and cracked the temporal bone in my head. After returning to the scene, I discovered I missed falling into a pit filled with rebar sticking out of the ground like Punji sticks...by about six inches. Lucky? I prefer, "protected."

I can't tell you the number of times I have avoided "accidents."

Do I believe in Angels? You bet...I often ask God to send them to protect my kids and grand kids.

Is it necessary? Don't they have their own "Guardian Angels?"

I don't know, but I'm not taking any chances. The Bible says "The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them."

I am fully persuaded that God provides and protects those that love him...those who fear God and keep his commandments.

So, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Sweet Land Of Liberty

The United States Of America is a great place to live and work.

Okay, there are those who say it isn't...but they still want to live and work here, don't they?

For a long time this country was blessed; providing a sanctuary for God-fearing people and through the blessings of God became the richest, most powerful nation on earth.

God used America to protect Israel and keep the world from destroying itself.

Satan is the god of this world...his goal is draw us away from God, to rob us of life and blessings.

We let our guard down. Over the last fifty years or so, Satan and his minions have turned the country from God-fearing to God-hating.

A nation will experience either the blessings of God or the wrath of God.

We can turn to God for protection and provision or turn away and experience his wrath. If we can't return the United States to "One nation, under God," destruction is assured.

You can't change the world; but you can change your world.

As it is written, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:13)

It's highly improbable that America will return to it's roots without divine intervention. Thus, there are difficult days on the horizon as God prepares to return the earth to its former glory as an inheritance for his children.

It only looks like Satan and his minions are winning...the day is coming when God will again remove the wicked, evil and unrepentant from the earth...just as it was in the days of Noah.

Ye Must Be Born Again

As you might imagine there were a lot of confusing issues in Jesus' day...not the least of which is the Kingdom of God.

The Israelites were looking for a conquering Messiah to set up a physical kingdom; so it's understandable that a meek servant riding a donkey announcing a spiritual kingdom would be a hard to accept.

Like a lot of folks today, they believed in God, but they didn't believe God.

The kingdom of God is not physical, it's spiritual...without the Spirit of God you cannot see or enter the kingdom; as Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

Or as the French Jesuit priest, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin said, "We are not physical beings having a spiritual experience; we're spiritual beings having a physical experience."

God is Spirit and the things of God are Spiritually discerned...without the Spirit of God, you cannot understand the things of God. The Bible will seem like just a bunch of stories and endless genealogies.

How do you get the Spirit of God?

Ask...but you must ask from your heart, not your head. You must truly want God in your life and trust me, God knows when you're insincere or just "covering your bases." He will test your heart.

When you're reborn Spiritually, God breathes life into your spirit. Your spirit becomes God's Spirit...thus, "the kingdom of God is within you;" it is the Holy Spirit who reveals God to you; then, and only then will you know, without a doubt, God is real.

You may be religious, a good person, go to church regularly and tithe to the max; but if you lack a hunger and thirst for God's word and pleasing God is not the priority of your life, you haven't been reborn Spiritually.

Does He Or Doesn't He?

Predestination is probably one of the most debated topics in scripture.

I mean, if our life is predetermined, then what about "freewill?" It's one or the other...or is it?

God "foreknows" them that are his (he chose them, remember?), but their future is not predetermined.

He doesn't know what they're going to do any more than you know if your son is going to drive home drunk or your daughter is going to overdose on drugs. You can establish "rules," but that doesn't mean they will abide by them.

If life was "predetermined" we wouldn't have a choice. That's the debate...do we or don't we?

From birth, you are "predestined" to be a child of God, or you're not. You didn't choose your earthly father, neither do you chose your heavenly Father. If you're a child of God, your choice, you only choice, is to obey or disobey God...that's freewill.

Predestinate ( proorizo ) means "ordained." If you are a child of God, you were "ordained" a priest from the womb; but when he calls, you have the "freewill" to accept or reject the "ordination."

If you accept and turn your will over to God, he will send the Spirit of Truth to abide with you; and guide you on the path to eternal life. You must simply follow the path...it's called, "The road to life."

If you reject the ordination or refuse to follow the right path, you are left to your own devices...that doesn't mean you can't return to God; only that your life will be miserable until you do.

If you don't...well, your path leads to destruction and eternal damnation.

Do not be deceived: If you're a child of God, he has set before you life and death, blessing and cursing.

You get to choose the kind of life your want. He hopes you choose life and blessing, but it's your choice.

However, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Nobody's Perfect

I always thought "Nobody's Perfect" was just a convenient excuse for messing up.

Growing up, the goal was to be good...after all, "nobody's perfect," right?

Imagine my surprise when I read, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48) It's hard enough to be good, but perfect?

Then I hear preacher's quote Romans 3:12, "There is none good, no not one."

Wow, if no one's good, how can anyone be "perfect?"

I'm not a Greek Scholar, but even a cursory study of scripture shows that the word Paul uses for "good" in Romans, is "chrestotes." It means "usefulness."

Paul wasn't making a blanket declaration that people can't be "good," he was simply referring to a group of people who had become "useless." Of course, "useless" could apply to an awful lot of "Christians" today.

Nevertheless, Jesus didn't say be "good," he said be "perfect" (teleios)...it means "complete."

To be "complete;" to be like our heavenly Father, we need the indwelling of the Spirit of God. We must be reborn Spiritually. As Jesus said, "Ye must be born again." When you're born again, you will do good and you will obey...not because you have to, but because you want to. When you know, I mean really KNOW, God; how could you ever disobey him?

You see, the difference between those who are "born again" and everyone else in the world, is those who have been reborn Spiritually know, without a doubt, God is real. Disobedience is not an option.

When you're born again, you will have an insatiable hunger and thirst for the Word of God. Your highest priority will be to please him. If that's not the priority of your life, you haven't been reborn Spiritually.

You may be religious. You may be a good person; but neither of those make you a child of God. Nor does it assure you eternal life. Eternal life is reserved for those who are "perfect," i.e. "complete."

Here Is Wisdom: "For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it." (Proverbs 2:21)

This is a reference to the new world that's coming soon...in order to dwell in the new world (avoid the wrath of God when he again removes the wicked from the earth) you must be "upright" ( "Yashar" - righteous) and to remain, you must be perfect, i.e. "complete," and that means you must be "born again."

Do Not Be Deceived: Jesus is not coming on a white horse to take all the good people to heaven. It was never God's plan for his children to live, die and go to heaven. God is going to remove the wicked, just as it was in the days of Noah. The "Upright" and "Perfect" will remain to inherit a new world; where every knee will bow and tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord.

So until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

The Dead Shall Rise First

I don't know about you, but the thought of dead bodies rising out of the ground as preached by some, is a little disconcerting. The Walking Dead, Zombies...this is the stuff of Hollywood; although admittedly, they probably got the idea from the Bible.

After all, since God and Satan are spirits, Ghosts and Goblins are not really much of a stretch; especially if you want to mock scripture. Zombies? Doesn't Lazarus come to mind?

Admittedly, God is God and there's nothing he can't do, but I don't think the physical rising from the grave is what he meant. I mean, what about those who were cremated? Even after burial, the bodies eventually turn to dust. So, what rises? Do you really believe God reforms your body from the dust and ashes? Why? For what purpose?

Jesus was raised from the dead as a physical example..just as the appearance of Moses and Elijah at the transfiguration shows that there is life after death; but dead bodies rising out of the ground? C'mon.

Do not be deceived: There will be no dead bodies, bones or ashes, floating up to heaven. Our body is simply the "earthen" vessel (the tabernacle of God) that houses our spirit . It is the spirit within us that returns to God when we die; and after the judgement, we receive either eternal life or eternal damnation. We may get new bodies; but only God knows for sure what happens after we die.

In this passage, Jesus was talking about the spiritually dead hearing his voice, not the physically dead. As God breathed physical life into the first Adam, he breathed spiritual life into the second Adam (Jesus).

We are "spiritually dead," until Jesus calls us, God breathes life into our spirit, and we are reborn Spiritually (first the physical, then the spiritual) 1 Corinthians 15:46.

It's What's On The Inside That Counts

There is so much confusion over being "born again" and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. These events are not mutually exclusive (you can't have one, without the other)

I heard a Pastor on the radio ask those who were filled with the Spirit to raise their hands; then asked those who wanted to be filled with the Spirit to repeat a prayer. After the prayer he declared that everyone who prayed was now filled with the Spirit.

It's no wonder people are so disillusioned with "Christianity."

A lot of preachers say that anyone who believes in Jesus is "born again." It fills the pews and collection plate, but it's not true. It might make them "Christians," but it doesn't make them a child of God...even demons believe in God, and tremble (James 2:9)

Do not be deceived: Spiritual birth, like physical birth, can't be explained; any more than you can explain the taste of salt to someone who has never tasted salt; but that doesn't negate its importance. Spiritual birth changes the way you think. Before my illumination I rarely thought about God; after, I couldn't stop thinking about him.

When you're born again, you will have a hunger and thirst for God and his word and an insatiable desire to please him. Obedience to God and his word will be the priority of your life; and sin will be anathema.

If this doesn't describe your life, you haven't been reborn Spiritually. Sorry to be so blunt, but being reborn Spiritually is the single most important thing you can do. As Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

It's not an option.

Until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

The Lord's Prayer

Calling it "The Lord's Prayer" is a misnomer (this is not the prayer Jesus prayed, it is the prayer he wanted his disciples to pray).

It would be doing the prayer a disservice to try and explain it in a few paragraphs, so this is not an in-depth study of this important passage. I just want to point out the oft misquoted portion of the scripture that significantly changes its meaning.

The passage reads, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth, as it is in heaven."

It doesn't say "on earth," as it is usually quoted. It says, "IN earth." It may appear to be a subtle difference, but there is a huge difference in the message.

While the Greek word "epi" can be interpreted "in or on," the King James Version says "In."

Why preachers continually quote it as "on," is beyond me. Changing in to on, is petitioning God for a physical kingdom; but the kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom. As Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21)

This is not a corporate prayer, it is an individual prayer. It begins, "After this manner pray ye"

Praying "Thy kingdom come," is asking God to send the Holy Spirit; "Thy will be done," is turning your will over to God; "In earth," is asking God to come into your life.

As opposed to asking God to establish his kingdom ON earth, It is a plea to be reborn Spiritually, so you can see and enter the kingdom of God.

Because, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

A Wise Man Knows The Limits Of His Wisdom

Do you know the difference between wisdom and knowledge?

Wisdom comes from knowledge; knowledge comes from experience...that's why they say experience is the best teacher; but it doesn't have to be your experience.

If you listen to wisdom (the experience of others) you won't have to get burned (experience) to know the stove is hot (knowledge).

"Obedience" is the key to life and blessing. "Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him" (Deuteronomy 8:6) I know preachers say you shouldn't be "afraid" of God; and you shouldn't...as long as you keep the commandments.

However, God is no respecter of persons. It pains him when his children disobey, but the wages of sin is death.

Here is Wisdom: If you look at the experience of others (wisdom); throughout scripture, disobedience is always punished. Why would you think you can live a sinful lifestyle and be rewarded with eternal life?

Be careful whom you choose to follow; if the blind lead the blind, they will both fall into the ditch (Matthew 15:14)

Solomon said, "Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting, get understanding" (Proverbs 4:7) Why is that important? As it is written, (Proverbs 9:10) "Understanding" is the knowledge of the Holy...it is knowing God.

Until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

The Journey Begins

There are a lot of events in the Bible, but none as compelling as the Exodus when God brought his people out of the land of Egypt after 400 years of slavery.

After witnessing the ten plagues God brought on Egypt, the parting of the Red Sea and the destruction of the Egyptian army that was chasing them, the first thing they do is complain about the food...and want to return to Egypt.

How could they dismiss the miracles so casually?

Just like we do today.

If we believe in miracles, we have to believe in God...and if we believe in God, we have to believe his promises are true; but if his promises are true, then so are the requirements to obey his words and ways.

We don't want to obey; it's easier not to believe in miracles or God.

It's the only problem we have, as individuals, families, nations, even the world. We simply don't believe God is real. If we did, this world would be a much different, much better place to live.

You can't change the world, its fate was sealed long ago; but you can change your world, by turning or returning to God.

Until then, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

It's Your Life

It's been said the devil's greatest victory was convincing people he doesn't exist.

Pretty slick strategy. If Satan doesn't exist, then God doesn't exist; if God doesn't exist, then Heaven and Hell don't exist, so what the hell, may as well party on!

The problem is that God does exist; so does Satan, Heaven and Hell...whether you believe they exist or not doesn't change it...only the outcome (for you).

Your belief (or disbelief) determines your future...blessed or cursed. It's called "freewill."

Satan doesn't steal souls...he "steals" futures. Satan's "job" is to draw you away from God. If he can get you to sin, his job is done.

If he can keep you sinning, he "kills" your hopes and dreams and "destroys" your life now and forever. How? Sin separates you from God (Isiah 59:2).

Living a sinful lifestyle is a sure way to insure your eternal destination is the lake of fire.

God doesn't hear the prayers of sinners (John 9:31) He does hear all prayers of repentance; and there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:7)

Remember "Freewill?" Satan notwithstanding, you choose to sin of your own freewill.

Again, whether you believe or not doesn't change the outcome...the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)

Repent or don't. It's your life, it's your choice.

It's Not What You Think, It's What You Think

The best advice I can give you is...Get Your Head Out Of The Clouds!

It never ceases to amaze me that "Christians" are so fixed on going to heaven when they die, they have missed the whole point of life. Let's settle a couple things right now.

One. Everyone goes to heaven when they die...everyone. Oh, wait, you think heaven is only for "good" people. Sorry, "heaven" is just a resting place (for good and bad people) until judgement. When you die, you just go to "sleep"...no streets of gold or partying with loved ones; no "mansions" and no sitting on a cloud with a harp. "Heaven" is a cemetery for souls. It's not Purgatory...there are no second chances. It's just a resting place until judgement.

What happens after judgement? Only God knows for sure.

Two. Believing in God won't get you eternal life. You must be born again.

How do you know if you're really "born again?" Here's where the rubber meets the road.

When you're born again, your thinking changes. You will have a hunger and thirst for God and his word and pleasing God will be the highest priority of your life. If you don't have an innate desire to please God and an insatiable hunger and thirst for his word...if obedience to God and his word is not foremost in your mind, you haven't been born again. Life and blessing come from obedience, not belief.

Obedience is the road to life...and you won't obey until you know, without a doubt, God is real.

God is Spirit and his kingdom is Spiritual. When you are reborn Spiritually, the Holy Spirit bears witness with your spirit that God and his kingdom are real. Until you're born again, you cannot see or enter the kingdom of God.

You should know, it was never God's plan for his children to live, die and go to "heaven." His plan was (and still is) for us to live and enjoy his creation...for eternity. The earth is our inheritance.

How you live your life, matters. It will determine where you spend eternity.

All Have Sinned

Admitting you have a problem is the first step of any twelve-step program...whether it's alcohol, drugs, porn, gambling or any other "addiction." Like any addiction, until we see "sin" as a problem, we won't ask for help.

We just don't see "sin" as a problem...and that's a problem.

Don't see anything wrong with taking a few office supplies home from work? It's called stealing. Addictions like alcohol, drugs, etc. may make your life a living hell; but a sinful lifestyle means you'll spend eternity in actual Hell. And, don't think Hell is only for murderers...liars, cheaters and thieves are Hell-bound too.

How do the twelve-steppers do it? Admit your life has become unmanageable and you need help? Believe in a higher power and turn your life and will over to God (as you understand him)?

Sounds an awful lot like the "born again" experience.

There are no special prayers or magical incantations...and no twelve steps. Just admit you're a sinner, repent of your sin, and turn your life and will over to God (not as you understand him, but the one true living God)...kinda like, "Jesus take the wheel."

If you want to change your life, pray as I prayed over thirty years ago, "God, if you're real, I want to know." That's it...nothing fancy. If you're sincere, God will reveal himself in his way, in his time, according to his purpose; and you will no longer hope, assume or even believe God is real...you will know it.

Because until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Is God Love?

Of course God is love...scripture says so in 1 John 4:8, so what are we to think?

Did God love Adam and Eve when he booted them from the Garden? Did he love Moses when he forbade him to enter the promised land? Did he love the 23,000 Israelite's he destroyed for worshiping the golden calf?

There's no scripture that says, "God hates the sin but loves the sinner"...even if he does, that doesn't mean sinners won't be punished.

If God punished Adam, Eve and Moses for one infraction, do you think he will let today's sinners go unpunished?

The "church" would like you to think so...but scripture is very clear, "The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9)

Sin is not evil...it's unrighteousness; choosing to do wrong; so maybe it would be easier for you to understand if it read, "Sinners shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

Let me clarify, "unrepentant" sinners. And don't buy into the lie that all your sins past present and future are forgiven...without "repentance" there is no forgiveness for sin.

Don't let the myths, lies and misconceptions preached today keep you out of the kingdom.

Do Not Be Deceived: Satan is transformed into an angel of light, so is it no great thing if his minsters are transformed as ministers of righteousness" (2 Corinthians 11:14-15)

Be careful whom you choose to follow. Just because everyone believes something is true, doesn't make it truth...without the Spirit of Truth, you will be easily deceived.

Until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

All Things New

When I was illuminated in 1987, I spent nine months in prayer, meditating on scripture.

Early in my walk, God appeared to me in a dream and spoke to me in a vision...I was to be a witness to the world of what I would see and hear. Over the last thirty plus years I have seen and heard a lot.

Why me? I don't know. Why Moses? Why Noah? Why Jesus?

No one knows the mind of God; his thoughts are higher than our thoughts and his ways are higher than our ways.

I don't know why he chose me. I'm certainly no one special, but I'm eternally grateful that he did.

I committed my life to serving God...and by following his instruction to walk in his ways and obey his voice, my life has been abundantly blessed.

As I studied scripture, it seemed like I was reading a different Bible than everyone else...the scriptures were the same, the understanding was different. What God was showing me was more logical and practical than what was coming from the pulpit. It simply made more sense than the politically correct conventional wisdom.

I'm not a Pastor, Priest or Biblical Scholar. I didn't go to Seminary or have a degree in Theology, so I asked God if I was misunderstanding or misinterpreting his Word, and God made it clear, "You can't put new wine into old bottles."

The understanding I was being given, was "new wine," but the religious elite would not accept it. It's okay, it's not for them...you can't put new wine into old bottles, for they say "the old is better." (Luke 5:39) I hear a lot of preachers telling people to beware of people like me...the un-seminary educated; sounds an awful lot like the Pharisees of old.

You don't have to believe me...read the Bible and study the scriptures for yourself.

If you've be reborn Spiritually, the Spirit will guide you into all truth...ask God for the wisdom to understand.

If you haven't been born again, nothing I say will make sense...and you will easily be drawn away from the truth.

You see, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Synergy

This very popular scripture is meant to give solace to those who are going through difficult times.

It's like saying, "There's a reason why this is happening, but God is going to make something good come of it.

Bunk.

God does not temp with evil (James 1:13) In reality, most bad things are simply the result of bad choices.

This scripture really has nothing to do with why bad things happen to good people. It's explaining the synergy of God's ways...how God's ways work together for good to them that love God; those who "walk in my ways and obey my voice." It's not for everyone, but then, the Bible is not for everyone...it's God's instruction manual for his children.

Most preachers finish the quote with: "to them who are called according to his purpose;" but the scripture actually reads "to them who are "the" called according to his purpose." leaving out the word "the" alters the meaning.

"The called," is the word "Kletos" in the Greek; it means "invited." So the scripture actually reads, "To them who are "invited" according to his purpose." It may seem like semantics, but "called" is general, "invited" is specific.

This scripture does not apply to everyone...so don't be disappointed if things don't turn out as you think they should. It's not a lack of faith or patience...it's a lack of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Not everyone is a child of God, or "invited." I realize this runs contrary to common belief that we are all "God's chilen," but that is simply a myth, lie or misconception. Only those who have the Spirit of God are the children of God.

If you haven't been reborn Spiritually, you won't understand anything in scripture. As Jesus said, to see or enter the kingdom, "Ye must be born again."

Until you're reborn Spiritually...noting else matters.

We Got Trouble, Right Here In...

Anyone who says the "Road to Life" is easy, isn't on the road to Life.

The road to life is not easy...the gate is narrow, and few find it or enter in.

Most people (including most "Christians") take the easy road, the wide gate that leads to destruction.

It's not easy, but God never said it would be easy, only that it would be worth it.

We live a world ruled by Satan...his job is to draw you away from God. If he can get you to sin; and keep you sinning, he wins...you lose. Sin keeps you separated from God.

It may be hard to grasp, but God created both good and evil.

He created the wicked as a ransom for the righteous (Proverbs 21:18) Just as God provided the "goat" as a substitute for Isaac. Did you ever wonder why Satan is often depicted as a "Goat?"

Satan and his minions will be sacrificed in the lake of fire when God returns the earth to it's former glory...and we inherit our eternal home (note: it's not "heaven," it's heaven on earth).

Tribulation comes with the territory.

We think of "tribulation," as persecution, but the word "tribulation" in Greek, is "thlipsis," it means "pressure."

Overcoming pressure, the temptation to sin, is probably the hardest thing you will ever do, outside of dying to self.

It's impossible, without help from the Holy Spirit...and why Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

Until you're born again, you will be easily drawn away by all that is in the world; the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life, to eternal damnation.

Until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Promises, Promises

It's interesting that there is no mention of eternal life in the Old Testament.

One can surmise that this was revealed to us by Jesus; but in fact, very little is said about the afterlife in the Bible...nothing is concrete, it's all supposition.

Is it any wonder that Christianity spread so rapidly among the Jew and Gentiles? Here's your choice, live and die or live, die and go to heaven...which would you prefer?

The afterlife and immortality was added to the Jewish religion in the first century, in large part (my opinion) to stop the "exodus" of Jews to Christianity. It was the old, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

After all, Christianity offered Jews a release from the "law" (no more sacrificing bulls and goats) and the promise of eternal life. I mean, who wouldn't be attracted to that?

Today, preachers tell us to just say a little prayer and all your sins past, present and future are forgiven; and you will have a mansion in heaven where you will be reunited with loved ones. Sounds great, doesn't it?

I mean, c'mon, only a fool would pass up that offer...but is it true?

Preachers will promise anything to fill the pews and collection plate, because no one can dispute what they say...and you won't know if they're right or wrong until you die.

What if they're wrong? Can you think of a better way to deceive than from the pulpit?

If they're wrong they get a millstone hung around their neck for deceiving you; but you get to spend eternity in hell.

Do Not Be Deceived: Mansions notwithstanding, there's only one way to be assured of eternal life, "Ye must be born again." Whether Jew or Gentile, Jesus said, unless you're born again you cannot see or enter the kingdom.

And that's why I say, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

This Is Important

Almost every one of my posts ends with "Nothing else matters."

Why? Because until you're born again and know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else does matter.

When you die, your body turns to dust or ashes. Your fancy car, big house and fat bank accounts go to someone else and shortly thereafter, even your name is forgotten.

The only thing eternal is your soul...where you will spend eternity.

I'm concerned, because unlike the "church," I don't have pews or a collection plate to fill. I don't have to cater or kowtow to a congregation...I don't have to please anyone, but God.

I don't care if you like me or my writing. I don't care if you buy my books, or anything else.

My only concern is helping you understand the importance of the scripture, "Ye must be born again." (John 3:7)

It's not an option. If you're concerned about your enteral destiny, it's the single most important thing you can do.

Until you're born again, you cannot see or enter the kingdom of God. Are you listening?

I know preachers say you're born again when you accept Jesus. They also say that all your sins past, present and future are forgiven. Neither of these is true.

Remember, just because everyone believes something is true, doesn't make it truth.

Be careful whom you choose to follow...if the blind lead the blind they will both fall into the ditch.

Here is wisdom: "Stop listening to the words of man, and start listening to the Word of God."

Read your Bible. Study to show yourself approved. Above all else, you must be born again.

Because until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

If You Will, I Will

From Adam to Jesus, God has maintained a covenant with his children. He will provide and protect, IF they will obey his commandments (Exodus 19:5)

Notice the word "If."

God gave us the "freewill" to obey or disobey. We get to choose the kind of life we want...blessed or cursed.

When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior (if you did), you agreed to the terms of the covenant...walk in his ways and obey his voice.

It's not like he didn't tell us what would happen if we breached the contract...death and cursing.

C'mon, how hard can it be? Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. Don't lie, cheat or steal. Don't murder anyone. Honor your parents and don't covet your neighbor's stuff. "Fear God and keep the commandments, for this is the whole duty of man" (Ecclesiastes 12:13)

It's not rocket science...so what's the problem?

Preachers have done a good job of "selling" a God of Love.

We shouldn't "fear" God, after all, he loves us. And all that commandment stuff, that's Old Testament; we're under grace. All our sins have been forgiven and we can live any way we want. That stuff may fill the pews and collection plate, but if that's what you think, you don't know God...and that's the problem.

People don't "fear" God because they don't know God. They simply don't believe God is real.

If they did, they would live differently...and this world would be a much different, much better place to live.

Taking God Seriously

Hypocrite, (noun) 1 : a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion 2 : a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings.

According to Pew Research over a third of people 18 - 29 have no religious affiliation (they check the "None" box).

Actually, it's not that surprising considering the majority of "Christians" are hypocrites (God is near to their lips, but far from their hearts). I mean, c'mon, is a "hypocrite" a good role model for kids?

You can't say "I'm a Christian" and lie to your kids, your boss, your spouse or anyone else for that matter.

You can't say "I believe in God" and cheat on your taxes or take office supplies home from work. And, just so we're clear...going to church on Sunday or confessing to a Priest, doesn't absolve you of sin. You have to repent.

If you don't take God seriously (keep his commandments), why do you think your kids should? If God is not important to you, he won't be important to them either.

Unfortunately, that's a mistake with eternal consequences...for you, and your kids.

Either you don't believe in hell, or you have been deceived into thinking that "believing" in God will save you. You should know...even demons believe in God, and tremble (James 2:9)

Here Is Wisdom: It's not about believing IN God, it's about BELIEVING God...sinners will be punished.

Until you start taking God and his word seriously...nothing else matters.

Our Inheritance

It was never God's plan for us to live, die and go to heaven.

If that was the case, why not just keep us in heaven? Why make us suffer through this "earthly" existence?

It was always God's plan for us to live and enjoy his creation...remember, man wasn't created for the world, the world was created for man. If Adam and Eve had eaten from the tree of life instead of the tree of knowledge, they would have received eternal life.

God's plan hasn't changed. It is still his plan for his children to inherit the earth and live forever; but the disobedience of Adam and Eve revealed that "man" couldn't handle the responsibility without help...the plan didn't change, only the timetable. It would be a few thousand years before his children would be ready to receive the inheritance.

That day has arrived. God is preparing to return the earth to his children.

A new world is coming. A world where every knee bows and tongue proclaims that Jesus is Lord. A world foretold by the Prophets that many desired to see, but couldn't. This generation is the last of the old and the first of the new.

However, only a remnant will remain.

It's not the end of the world, as some would have you believe; but that doesn't mean it's going to be a walk in the park...the destruction will be greater than the world has ever seen or will see again. What? You don't believe it?

When Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth," do you think he was kidding?

Get ready...the kingdom of heaven (on earth) is coming soon.

God Hates Sin

Why does God hate sin?

Sin is the most destructive force on earth.

It's not evil, it's unrighteousness. It's choosing to do wrong. Choosing to lie, cheat and steal. Choosing to murder and commit adultery. Choosing to disrespect your parents.

The hypocrisy, greed and avarice produced by sin is destroying God's creation...at least, temporarily.

There are two kinds of sinners, repentant and unrepentant...we can sin less, but we can never be sinless.

When you're reborn Spiritually, you can't sin or even think about sinning without being convicted by the Holy Spirit. True born again believers know they have sinned and quickly repent.

They're not "sorry they got caught," like some people, they know that sin separates them from God...and there is nothing worse than being separated from God. "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." (Isaiah 59:2)

Here Is Wisdom: If you want to know why your prayers aren't being answered, it could be unrepentant sin in your life.

Unrepentant sinners are, well, unrepentant. They are not sorry for the life they've chosen or the things they've done. They love sin, more than God...those who hate God, love "death."

Born again repentant sinners have eternal life. Unrepentant sinners have a date with the devil in hell...their end is the lake of fire. Life, as they know it, is over.

For those who repent and are reborn Spiritually, there's a new world coming; where every knee will bow and tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord. A world where there is only "One God and Father of all, who is above all, through all and in you all." (Ephesians 4:6)

Generations have desired to see what you're going to see, but couldn't.

I'm talking about the physical kingdom of heaven, on earth.

It's coming...and coming soon.

Get ready...the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Of course, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Jesus did not die on a cross so you could go to heaven. He didn't come to die for your sins, make you rich or promote social justice.

Jesus came to call sinners to repentance (Luke 5:32) To show God's people the way to a new and everlasting life.

Sin keeps you separated from God. He doesn't hear or answer the prayers of sinners, so as long as you're living in sin, you're "dead" to God.

I know preachers say "Jesus died for your sins," but think about it, "If Jesus died for everyone's sins, why would sinners need to repent?" Does that make sense to you?

When you repent, God wipes the sin-slate clean and you get the opportunity to live a new life.

How you use that opportunity is up to you.

You can walk in his ways, obey his voice and live a blessed life; or you can refuse to obey, continue in sin, and live a cursed life. You get to choose the kind of life you want...blessed or cursed.

Do Not Be Deceived: Unless you repent, your sins are not forgiven...to think you can live life any way you want and inherit eternal life is a fantasy designed to fill the pews and collection plate.

Trust me, there are going to be a lot of disappointed "Christians" at the pearly gate who hear the most sorrowful words ever, "Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity, I never knew you."

Sin is sin and the wages of sin is death.

If you want the opportunity to live a new life, you must be reborn Spiritually.

Choose This Day

We have all made bad choices...done things we aren't real proud of.

Obviously, "sinning" is a bad choice; but even things that aren't "sins," like smoking and drinking, eating junk food, or not saving enough money for retirement, can have negative consequences.

I'm not anti-smoking, drinking, eating junk food, or pro-saving (okay maybe a little); nor does the Bible say, "Thou shalt not eat junk food;" but wisdom dictates that no smoking, drinking or eating junk food, and more saving leads to a happier, healthier, wealthier life. You don't need the Bible to prove it, just take a look around.

Ignorance is not bliss, it's a death sentence.

"I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing" (Deuteronomy 30:19) We get to choose the kind of life we want...which is why it amazes me that so many people choose death and cursing over life and blessing.

Face it, either you believe it or you don't. If you don't, you might want to invest in an asbestos suit.

The only logical reason anyone would choose death over life is because they just don't believe God is real. They have been convinced that "this is all there is;" or worse, that God is love and everyone gets a "free ride" to heaven.

It's been said Satan's greatest accomplishment was convincing the world he doesn't exist. Heaven and Hell are just antiquated concepts designed to keep the ignorant masses in subjection. Is that what you think?

I can't speak for everyone, but I wasn't looking for God. I wasn't lame or halt, sick or poor. I didn't do drugs or have an alcohol problem. I lived in a 5,300 sq. ft. house on the thirteen tee in a very exclusive neighborhood and earned close to six figures a year. In short, life was good. God was the furthest thing from my mind...so why did I seek God?

At the risk of oversimplifying my testimony, I wanted to know if God was real...so I prayed, "God, if you're real, I want to know." That's it, that simple; and God revealed himself to me on January 13, 1987.

I had a good life...now, I have a great life.

I can tell you God is real. I can tell you Hell is real and the consequences of sin is death; but you won't believe me, nay, you can't believe me...unless or until you are born again. As Jesus said, until you are reborn Spiritually, you cannot see or enter the kingdom of God.

God is Spirit and the things of God are Spiritually discerned. "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1 Corinthians 2:14)

Until you're reborn Spiritually, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Baaaaad

Have you ever heard a preacher say, "Abortion is wrong except in case of rape, incest or when the mother's life is in jeopardy?"

Show me where it says, "Except," in the Bible.

Legalized abortion is man's way, not God's way.

There are no exceptions...abortion is murder and murder is sin.

You can argue the point or refuse to believe it, but it won't change God's mind. Abortion is murder and murder is sin...and the wages of sin is death.

With repentance, all sins are forgivable (except for the unforgivable sin) but that's not the issue.

Jesus repeatedly warned against false teaching. "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." (Matthew 7:15)

Preaching that abortion is okay under certain circumstances is just one example of the myths, lies and misconceptions leading God's people down the road to hell.

How so?

If you believe abortion is okay...you will not repent. Without repentance, there is no forgiveness of sin...without forgiveness, you will die a sinner and have a date with the devil in hell.

Too many people are being deceived by preachers who are really ravening wolves. They are not interested in saving your soul from hell, they are only interested in your savings...making converts to fill the pews and collection plate.

Here is Wisdom: Stop listening to the words of man and start listening to the Word of God.

Read the Bible. Study to show yourself approved.

Above all, you must be reborn Spiritually.

Without the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Truth) to guide you, you will be easily deceived.

Only a remnant will be saved, so until you're born again...nothing else matters.

Live Once, Die Twice

Preachers don't have much to say about the "Second Death."

In fact, it's rarely mentioned by the clergy...primarily because they don't want to be the bearer of bad news, and the "Second Death" is definitely bad news.

They love to quote Hebrews 9:27, "It is appointed unto men, once to die," but conveniently leave off the rest of the scripture, "but after this the judgement."

Everyone dies once; but the wicked, evil and unrepentant have a date with the devil in hell and will be tossed into the lake of fire and brimstone...this is the second death.

The confusion stems from misunderstanding what happens after we die.

It's commonly preached that there are only two outcomes, heaven and hell. "Heaven" for believers, "Hell" for unbelievers. It tickles the ears and fills the pews and collection plate; but it was never God's plan for us to live, die and go to heaven. It's not about heaven or hell...It's about "judgement." Who will and who won't receive eternal life.

Everyone who dies, goes to "heaven," (even non-believers) because "heaven" is just a resting place prior to judgement. Sorry, no mansions or partying with friends. No sitting on a cloud with a harp or turning into an angel. It's not purgatory either; you don't get a second chance to live right...you just sleep until judgement.

At judgement, everyone who has been reborn Spiritually, whose name is written in the book of life, will receive eternal life...everyone else, will die the second death.

There is only one way to avoid the "Second Death"...as Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

Until you're born again...nothing else matters.

Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire

This little children's ditty may be closer to the truth than we care to admit.

It's easy to understand "the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers and idolaters are going to burn in the lake of fire" (Revelation 21:8), they're evil...but "liars?"

C'mon, everyone lies, don't they?

Actually, no...not everyone lies.

When you're reborn Spiritually, you become intensely aware of sin and its consequences (the wages of sin is death).

Scripture says, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory" (Romans 3:22); but that is prior to being reborn Spiritually...when you're born again, your slate is wiped clean; even the thought of sinning is quickly convicted.

Spirit-filled people do not sin...at least knowingly. If they slip on occasion, they will quickly repent. If lying comes easy, you haven't been "born again."

The Bible says, when you sin, you do so willingly. "The Devil made me do it," will not hold water with God.

When you hear politicians blatantly lying, it's not just "politics," it's evil. All liars are serving the father of lies...Satan.

Oh, they probably don't have a pentagram on their bedroom wall and I doubt they participate in human sacrifice, but they (and everyone who lies) have a date with the devil in hell...it won't just be their pants on fire.

Scripture is clear...all liars will burn in the lake of fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8)

Think about that the next time you tell a lie or even think about lying.

To Obey Or Not Obey, That Is The Question

Jesus was very clear, he didn't come "to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." (Luke 5:32)

Just as the "law" was not made for the obedient, but the disobedient.

Preachers are quick to point out that since Jesus came, we are not under the law, we are under grace. They say Jesus died for our sins past, present and future and everyone who accepts Jesus will have eternal life.

If you believe that, I've got some ocean-front property in Arizona to sell you.

Jesus did not die for our sins...he died for the sins of the world, to wipe the slate clean so God could usher in the new Spiritual covenant; Jesus died for our benefit, but not our sins. Sins can only be forgiven thru repentance; his death 2,000 years ago did not absolve you of your sin this morning or yesterday or tomorrow. You must repent.

When you are reborn Spiritually, God wipes your slate clean; but if you sin after that, you must repent...or when you die, you will die a sinner; and all sinners will burn in the lake of fire.

If you continue to sin, you must question whether you've been born again.

True, we are not under the law with respect to our eternal destiny. Eternal life is not the reward for keeping the commandments; you keep the commandments out of respect for God. Disobedience is simply a lack of respect.

The "Law" was given to show us the nature of "sin." How by keeping the commandments, society can dwell in peace. I mean, wouldn't it be nice if no one lied, cheated, stole or murdered?

That's the world that's coming, God's world, where every knee will bow and tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord.

Irrespective of what you hear from the pulpit, do you really think God wants a bunch of disobedient disrespectful lawbreakers ruling his kingdom? Do you really think disrespecting God will get you eternal life?

If so, you don't know God.

Here is Wisdom: "Stop listening to the words of man; and start listening to the Word of God."

Until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Hearing Gods Voice

I used to think that others thought I was crazy for saying I hear God's voice...until I realized two things:

One, I don't care what others think. And Two, not everyone is a child of God.

I realize this may sound a little "pious" and definitely un-Christian; but I can't help it. Knowing, I mean KNOWING, one is a child of God and a joint heir with Christ in his kingdom, is a blessing beyond blessings.

It makes me want to dance, sing and shout from every roof top...I AM A CHILD OF GOD!

If you don't understand what that means, you obviously don't know God. I mean really KNOW God. Who he is, what he had done and what he can do. You might be religious; you might go to church; you might even be a good person; but, if you don't know, without a doubt, God is real, you are not a child of God.

If you are not a child of God, you are a child of the devil...think about that for a minute.

You might wonder why almost every one of my posts closes with, "Until you are born again, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters." Because truly, the only thing that matters in life is knowing God is real.

When you know God is real, your life will change; your thinking will change...heck, everything changes.

You're A CHILD OF GOD!

Can you even comprehend what that means?

To be a child of the living God, the creator of the universe...the CREATOR! It just doesn't get any better than that.

God is Spirit, so you can't know, I mean really KNOW, God is real...unless or until you have been reborn Spiritually; which is why Jesus said, "Ye must be born again." Until you're born again, you cannot see or enter the kingdom.

And that's Why I say, until you're born again; until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

The End Of The World

If you're looking for the day and hour when the world is going to end...you won't find it here.

No one (and I mean NO ONE) knows when the world will end...because the world is not ending, not now...not ever.

Huh?

It was (and is) God's plan for man to live forever and enjoy his creation...it was never his plan for us to live, die and go to "heaven."

There were two trees in the "Garden;" if Adam and Eve had eaten from the Tree of Life instead of the Tree of Knowledge, they would have lived forever and we wouldn't be going through all this testing stuff.

It was their disobedience that got them (and us) booted from the "Garden" (Genesis 3:22-24)

I know "preachers" have all kinds of explanations for the fall of man; but God is God...there is nothing more powerful. He gave "man" a choice; and they made the wrong one...it's that simple.

God used Satan to test Adam and Eve; to see if they would obey...they failed.

Now, we are being tested to see if we will obey. Those who obey will live forever, those who won't, you might want to invest in an asbestos suit. Yeah, it's that simple.

God brought a flood on the earth to start over with Noah (who was righteous in his generation). Now, he's going to send fire on the earth to start over again, with those who are "righteous" in this generation...those who "endure," will inherit the earth.

There's a new world coming...a thousand years of peace on earth, where every knee will bow and tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord. When shall these things be?

Here is wisdom: Be ready always.

However, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Who Wants To Live Forever

When I think about "eternal life," I can't get that Queen song out of my head ("Princes of the Universe," theme to Highlander)

Of course, Eternal Life isn't like the movie...or is it?

1st Corinthians 2:9 says, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

Do Not Be Deceived: No one knows what happens to the righteous after judgement.

Preachers love to say that "believers" are going to have a new life, just like the old life (only better)...in a mansion on streets of gold. Hummmm, I wonder if there will be golf courses?

Some say we will kneel before God and praise him for eternity.

Certainly God is worthy of our praise and worship, but for eternity? Kneeling for eternity doesn't sound like much of a reward to me. How 'bout you?

Still others preach the never-ending party with friends and loved ones...and pets.

What if Uncle Joe, or God forbid, Mom, didn't make it to the party? Thinking about a loved one rotting in Hell doesn't sound like "heaven" to me.

None of these are supported by scripture; and Jesus said, "This is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent" (John 17:3)

To "inherit" eternal life you must be a Spirit-filled child of God; as Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

God is Spirit; until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

The Clock Is Ticking

The worst thing about the 'Green New Deal" pushed by the Demoncrats is that it de-legitimizes the possibility of an actual apocalyptic event.

I have always felt the Democratic Party was evil...one cannot be pro-abortion and pro-homosexual, and be in God's good graces. How anyone can call themselves a Christian and be a "Democrat" is beyond me...but then, "They are not all Israel..." (Romans 9:6)

The world and the world's ways are enmity with God. You may be a good person, go to church and call yourself a "Christian," but if you think abortion and living a homosexual lifestyle is okay because they're "legal," you are sadly mistaken and will be sorely disappointed when you reach the pearly gates and hear, "Depart from me."

I heard a Conservative talk-show host say that none of the apocalyptic "visions" have ever come to pass...intimating that the Green New Deal's "World ending in twelve years," is a joke; and shouldn't be taken seriously.

He may be right, but Satan's greatest accomplishment was convincing the world he doesn't exist...getting people to laugh at the possibility of an apocalypse is right up Satan's alley.

No one knows the day or hour, but anyone who believes it won't happen, will be ill-prepared when it does.

Here Is Wisdom: "It's better to be prepared for that which does not come, than unprepared for that which does."

The Bible says it will happen...it's just a matter of when.

Jesus said to "Be ready always," so wisdom would dictate that you should always be ready.

You see, it's not "What if it doesn't happen?" It's "What if it does?"

Get ready...difficult days are on the horizon.

Talking To God

We make prayer, as with most things in life, much too complicated.

One of the first things Jesus said about prayer, "Stop with all the vain repetitions" (Matthew 6:7).

Admittedly there are times when I just say "Thank You," five or six times...nothing else, just "Thank You." When you realize who God is, what he has done and what he can do; sometimes, "Thank You," is all that need be said.

Prayer is talking with God. You don't need all the Thee's and Thou's; just talk to him as if he were in front of you (he is, after all, inside you)...assuming you've been reborn Spiritually. If not, well...that could be why your "prayers' aren't being answered.

Do Not Be Deceived: If you're an sinner, God doesn't hear the prayers of sinners (John 9:31). Sin separates you from God; the only prayer God hears from sinners is the prayer of repentance. I know preachers say, "We're all sinners," and they're right, in a sense; but if you're born again, you won't knowingly sin without repenting. Trust me, people who have been truly reborn Spiritually, do not sin...and they "pray without ceasing."

Do you sin? Then you must question whether the "love of God" (the Holy Spirit) is in you. Most likely, if you are living a sinful lifestyle, you haven't been reborn Spiritually; because those who have been truly born again, cannot sin.

If you want to talk to God; repent of your sins and be baptized in the Spirit. As Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

Jesus almost always went away alone to pray and said " Don't be like the Pharisees who pray in public to be seen by men. Pray in secret and your Father which sees in secret will reward you openly." (Matthew 6:6) Even before meals, just bow your head and thank God silently for the food, you don't need to make a production out of it.

Prayer is not difficult. It's just a conversation between you and God...you don't need to pray out loud. God can hear your thoughts, so you can talk to God anytime, anywhere.

Why do preachers (and others) pray openly? To be seen of men, of course. They certainly appear "righteous," don't they? Praying openly, like touchy-feely sermons, fill the pews and collection plate.

Here is Wisdom: God doesn't want you to look righteous, he want's you to be righteous.

Remember, just because everyone believes something is true, doesn't make it truth.

"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." (Matthew 6:6) It doesn't get much clearer.

I'm not big on asking for stuff; but the Bible says to make your requests known unto God, so if you want to ask for stuff I leave that between you and God. However, stop with all the "Name it and Claim it," stuff.

God is not going to give you a billion dollars (even if you promise to give ten percent to the church) or that new Cadillac. Name it and Claim sounds good, but that's not how God works. You'll get the big things, when you have proven you can be trusted with the little things. Hint: If you're not tithing now, why would God think you'd tithe later?

Please Note: You don't give to get...you get because you're giving. It's a matter of the heart, not the head.

God knows what you need before you ask, so my suggestion is simply to pray as Jesus prayed, "Thy will be done;" and then rest, knowing that what ever happens is God's will for you.

It may not be what you want...but trust me, God's will is always what's best.

However, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

What, Me Worry

Some of you may remember Alfred E. Neuman and MAD Magazine. This iconic satirical magazine was a humorous retreat from growing up in the turbulent sixties.

With seven mouths to feed, we grew up poor...we just didn't know it.

There was always food on the table and although a lot of our clothes were hand-me-downs, the neighbor kids were also wearing hand-me-downs, so we didn't notice....neither did it matter.

We didn't have much, but we had all we needed. It's amazing that until or unless you start comparing your life to others, it doesn't really take much to live worry-free.

Worry is an insult to God.

It means you don't trust him to provide...and that's because you don't know, I mean really KNOW, God is real.

I'm not saying you don't believe "IN" God, you just don't believe God...and you won't, until you know, without a doubt, God is real.

It is that "doubt" that is keeping you from enjoying life as God intended it to be...in peace, without fear. It is that "doubt" that keeps you worrying about the future.

It's easy to say "Be Content"...not so easy to do.

The temptations of this world, pride, envy, and greed, cannot be overcome without help from the Holy Spirit...which is why Jesus said, "Seek first the kingdom of God"...the kingdom of God is within you.

You see, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Angels Watching Over Me

You might recall, this is the scripture Satan used to test Jesus in the wilderness; to which Jesus replied, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God" (Matthew 4:7)

It's good advice...don't jump off a bridge to see if the angel's will keep your foot from dashing on the concrete below. That would be foolish; just as Paul told the disciples that "grace" did not give them liberty to sin more (Romans 6:1)

In the first place, this scripture is preceded by a condition... "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High..." (Psalms 91:1) The "secret" place is the kingdom of God, which is within you (if you have been reborn Spiritually)...so it follows that you must be "born again" to have angel's watching over you, right?

Not necessarily.

You must be a child of God (whom he knows from the womb), so even if you're walking in sin, his angels are keeping you safe, until...(however long God gives you to repent and return to him).

I mean, when your kids do bad things, they're still your kids, right?

Are you a child of God living a sinful lifestyle? If so, he's keeping you safe...giving you time to repent because it is not his wish that any of his kids should perish; but he gave them "freewill" to live whatever lifestyle they wanted...blessed or cursed.

If you're a child of God, angels are watching over you; but there is so much more God has and wants for you...if you will just repent and return to him.

You see, until you're born again...nothing else matters.

Quid Pro Quo

A lot of people think dealing with God is Quid Pro Quo...I'll do this for you, if you'll do that for me.

Kinda like, "Let me win the million dollar lottery and I"ll give ten percent to the church." Yeah, not so much.

God doesn't do Quid Pro Quo, he does Sowing and Reaping.

Jesus said, "Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?" (Mark 4:13)

Whatever you plant (sow) you will harvest (reap).

You can't plant cabbage and reap tomatoes. A cauliflower seed won't produce corn. Whatever you plant, you reap.

If you want to become healthy, eat healthy. You don't have to become a vegetarian, but there's a reason why God said, "eat neither fat nor blood" (Leviticus 3:17) All known diseases have been linked to animal fat and are transmitted in the blood.

If you want to become wealthy, you have to invest (sow) your money...but beware, in the parable of the sower, only 25% of the seed fell on good ground. If you "sow" in bad ground (like get rich quick schemes), you won't reap a harvest; in fact, you will probably lose your seed. For more information, read my book, "Financial Freedom."

If you want to become wise, invest your time reading the Bible. God's way works.

The Unbridled Truth

I've never been one to pull punches...if the truth hurts, so be it.

While preachers have to please their congregations to fill the pews and collection plates, I have no congregation to please...only God.

I don't care if you believe me. I don't care if you buy my books. I don't even care if you go to heaven or hell.

I know that's not very "Christian" of me...but it's time to put away childish things. Time to get your head out of the clouds and grow up; because the day is coming when God is going to again remove the wicked, evil and unrepentant sinners from the earth, just as it was in the days of Noah.

If this offends you, sorry. My only concern is that you know the truth.

There is no acceptable excuse for sinning...and don't buy into the "all your sins past present and future are forgiven." It's a lie. If you are truly "born again," you won't sin, because you know sin will separate you from God...for those who have been reborn Spiritually, separation from God is a fate worse than death.

I don't care what the preacher says, if you continue to sin, you have not been "born again"...because when you know, I mean KNOW, God is real...you won't sin.

Do Not Be Deceived: The wages of sin is death and all sinners will burn in the lake of fire and brimstone.

If that's what you want, just keep sinning; because until you are reborn Spiritually; until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

No God No Good

This world would be a great place to live...if it weren't for people.

Guns don't kill, people kill. Airplanes don't start wars, people start wars.

If you think about it, all our problems can be traced to one thing...the falling away from God.

When people stop believing God, sin becomes the norm. No God, no good.

It wasn't so a generation ago...everything changed with the "Me" generation of the 60's.

When we, we, we became me, me, me. The love of money replaced the love for God.

Today, the progressive agenda preaches that people are basically "good." Well, that's not what the Bible says...so whom do you believe?

Do Not Be Deceived: Just because God has disappeared from the nightly news, doesn't mean he's dead. He is real and alive...waiting for his children to return.

You can't change the world, its fate was sealed long ago; but you can change your world.

Confess your sins, repent, and pray as I prayed over thirty years ago..."God, if you're real, I want to know."

If you're sincere, God will breathe life into your spirit in his way, in his time, according to his purpose, and you will no longer hope, assume or even "believe" God is real, you will know, without a doubt, God is real.

Until then...nothing else matters.

Our Hope In Glory

After we die, those whose names are not written in the book of life are tossed in the fiery lake; but what happens to those whose names are written in the book of life?

If you're like most "Christians," you think you're going to party with friends and loved ones in a heavenly mansion.

Other religions have some form of reward after death; but of course, no one has ever returned to verify that any of them is true. Remember, just because everyone believes something is true, doesn't make it truth.

For those who believe in the one true God, scripture is clear, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man what God hath prepared for those who love him." ( 1 Corinthians 2:9)

Only God knows what happens after the judgement.

Do Not Be Deceived: No one knows, for sure, what happens after we die. It's a mystery, because God doesn't want us to focus on the afterlife; he wants us to focus on life, now. How you live your life, matters...it determines where you will spend eternity. Trust me, there are going to be a lot of disappointed "Christians" at the pearly gate when they hear the most sorrowful words ever, "Depart from me, I never knew you."

Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) If you're not keeping the commandments, you don't really love Jesus. If you don't love Jesus, do you really think God is going to reward you with eternal life? If so, you don't know God.

You see, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Something For Nothing

Did you ever notice how much "free" stuff you can get from the church?

I'm not talking about the clothes or food given to the poor, but how everything from God is free!

Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!

Well, that's not exactly true.

Preachers promise salvation and a guaranteed trip to heaven to fill the pews and collection plate; but remember, just because everyone believes something is true, doesn't make it truth.

Saying a little prayer does not assure you eternal life...something for nothing is man's way, not God's way.

Eternal life has the highest cost imaginable...it will cost you your life (Matthew 16:25) I don't mean you have to die, just die to "self." Dying to "self," is the hardest thing you will ever do; but God never said it would be easy, only that it would be worth it.

If eternal life isn't worth it, nothing is.

You get the assurance of eternal life..."IF" you can overcome the temptations of this world and walk in obedience to God and his ways.

The operative word is "IF"...you can't overcome the temptations of this world without the Holy Spirit to help you.

For eternal life, as Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

Until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Take It To The Limit

How do you think you'd respond if God asked you to hang on a cross?

We think Abraham being asked to sacrifice his son was the ultimate test, but think about Jesus...asked to give up his own life. Which is easier? Give up your life or the life of someone else?

Don't say, "He was God." Jesus was not God...if he was God, why was he asking God to let the cup pass?

What? Like the movie, "Oh God," with George Burns as God, when asked to swear on the Bible, "So help me, me?"

No, Jesus is not God...he is the first-born Son of God.

Important? Yes. God? No.

God said, there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) so how can God be God, Jesus be God and the Holy Spirit be God? Jesus is not your "Father," he is your brother... "the firstborn of many brethren." (Romans 8:29)

I explain the Trinity in another post...suffice it say, Jesus sweat blood knowing what was going to happen to him.

So how did he endure it?

Jesus was filled with the Spirit of God; he knew, without a doubt, God was real...so while his "human" side was agonizing over his pending death on the cross, the Spirit of God was assuring him a better life awaited him.

Victory over death, is the final victory. (1 Corinthians 15:5) It's why we have so many problems today...people are afraid to die because they don't know, without a doubt, there is something after death.

People (even "Christians") just don't believe God is real. Oh, they hope he's real, but when push comes to shove they don't know, without a doubt, God is real; so they put their faith in Science, Medicine and The Affordable Care Act.

The trials and tribulations we face are nothing compared to what our Lord experienced. We are pushed to the limit to increase our faith, but God never gives us more than we can handle and always makes a way out.

Nevertheless, when you're pushed to the limit; when you think life is too hard or God is treating you unfairly, remember what God said to me in my darkest day when I cried, "Why have you forsaken me?"

His reply, "I didn't ask you to hang on a cross." It will put things in perspective for you.

But, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Only A Remnant

You're probably picturing an old man with a long gray beard standing on a street corner holding a sign that says, "The World is Ending!"

Or, maybe you're excited because you think Jesus is coming on a white horse to take all the good people to heaven...the ever-popular "rapture" of the church.

Sorry, both scenarios are incorrect.

First, it's not the end of the world. The Bible is very clear...there has to be a thousand years of peace before the end.

Second, God didn't remove the righteous in the flood, he removed the unrighteous. The righteous remained to begin again.

Here's a shocker. The kingdom isn't coming, it's already here; but until you're born again, you cannot see or enter it...as Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21)

The word "kingdom," (basileia) means "Rule"...the "kingdom" is already ruling in the hearts of God's children. What's coming is destruction never seen or will be seen again as God removes the wicked, evil and unrepentant from the earth...just as it was in the days of Noah.

The "kingdom," (God's rule) will be in every heart that remains...and every knee will bow and tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord.

You see, it's not the end of the world, it's the beginning of a new world; but, as Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

The world is not coming to an end; but unless you repent and are reborn Spiritually, it's the end of your world.

Until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Birds Of A Feather

You've probably heard it said, "You are known by the company you keep."

I learned it the hard way...blackballed by a Fraternity for associating with the "wrong" brother. How was I to know he wasn't "liked" by his Frat Bros?

The rejection hurt. Nevertheless, it was a valuable lesson learned at a young age.

One is either good or bad. James 3:11 tells us, you can't get fresh and salt water from the same tap at the same time. I'm not saying "good" people can't do bad things, but when they do bad things, they're not really "good" people, are they?

You might be religious. You might go to church. You might even think you're a "good" person...but, if you sin, you do so willingly; and the wages of sin, is death.

Sometimes sin is easy to identify, like being asked to rob a liquor store; sometimes it's not, like taking office supplies home from work.

Irrespective of what Dennis Prager says, God doesn't grade on the curve...stealing is stealing. To us, stealing and killing are not the same, but scripture says, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." (James 2:10) This is, or should be, a very sobering scripture.

If you think God isn't serious about sin, remember, Moses (a great man of God)? Moses, after leading the Israelite's out of Egypt and the trials and tribulation he suffered in the wilderness, was denied the Promised Land for one small offense (striking the rock twice). You would "think," after all Moses did for God, God would "overlook" one tiny foible; but, God is Holy and expects us to be holy. "Stealing," like lying and cheating is a matter of the heart, not the head...lying, cheating, stealing, etc., is disobedience and disobedience will not be rewarded with life and blessing.

Staying away from evil people is good advice, but there is really only one way to avoid a sinful lifestyle...you must be reborn Spiritually. If you want a happier, healthier, wealthier life now, and the assurance of eternal life, you must be born again. It's not an option.

Until you're reborn Spiritually; until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

The Sin Also Rises

After I was illuminated in 1987, like most new "Christians," I watched only Christian television, listened only to Christian radio and went to church as much as humanly possible...but the more I watched, listened and went, the more confused I got.

Everyone claimed to know the truth, but which one was right?

I was pondering that question when God spoke these words to me:

"Stop listening to the words of man...and start listening to the Word of God."

Needless to say, I turned off the radio and television...and spent nine months in prayer, studying the Bible.

What was revealed was this: Christianity is not a religion, it's a way of life. A way of living as God intended.

How you live your life, matters.

I'm not saying preachers are wicked evil people, but 2 Corinthians 11:14 says that Satan is transformed into an angel of light and his ministers into ministers of righteousness. Can you think of a better way to deceive, than from the pulpit?

Be careful whom you choose to follow.

False teaching tickles the ears, but it's the wide road that leads to destruction. Preachers promise eternal life and a ticket to heaven for saying a little prayer. Jesus said, you must be born again to see or enter the kingdom of God.

So whom do you believe, the preacher or Jesus?

You see, until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

The Unforgivable Sin

It is doubtful that anyone living in the United States has committed the unforgivable sin.

It's possible, but since we have almost complete religious liberty, it's doubtful.

Sin, is not a difficult concept...God laid out ten simple rules for us to follow; break the rules and you've sinned.

Pretty simple stuff.

Don't fall for the myths lies and misconception that all your sins past, present and future are forgiven when you say "I believe in Jesus." Jesus doesn't care if you believe in him, he cares that you obey his commandments. He knows obedience brings life, disobedience brings death.

Just to be clear, Jesus didn't die for your sins; he died for the sins of the world. His death wiped the slate clean, so God didn't have to destroy the world for sin and unrighteousness; but not one jot or tittle of the law passed away. If all sins past present and future were going to be forgiven, why did he tell the prostitute to "Go, and sin no more?"

Do you really believe when you sin, God looks the other way? Sin is sin and the wages of sin is death.

Do Not Be Deceived: God hates sin and sinners will be punished.

When you repent of your sins, God wipes your "sin slate" clean, but only when you repent. All sin (except the unforgivable sin) can be forgiven if you repent; but if you continue to sin, you must question whether the love of God (the Holy Spirit) is in you.

Without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit you are not a child of God. You may be religious, you may be a "Christian," but you are not a child of God. Only those who have been reborn Spiritually are joint-heirs with Christ.

Sorry to be so blunt, but just because everyone believes something is true, doesn't make it truth.

So, what is the unforgivable sin?

When you know, without a doubt, God is real...you can only know that if it is revealed to you by the Holy Spirit thru the experience of Spiritual birth. As Jesus said, "Ye must be born again."

If you've been "born again," you know, without a doubt, God is real...so you can no longer deny it.

If you do, (even under extreme persecution or threat of death) that makes you a liar...and all liars will burn in the lake of fire. (Revelation 21:8)

A lot of preachers will tell you that it's not possible to lose your salvation, but if that were true Jesus would have had no reason to mention the "unforgivable sin."

It's the age-old question, "Did you lose your salvation?" Or, "Did you ever really have it?

Until you are reborn Spiritually; until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.
